COMPRESSED BIOGAS PLANTS
C.B.G.(COMPRESSED BIOGAS)BIOGAS GENERATION, PURIFICATION & BOTTLING, BIOGAS GENERATOR
Bio-CNG is the purified form of biogas, without other gaseous impurities. It is very similar to natural gas in its composition and energy potential, is a renewable energy source, eco-friendly and can replace LPG and CNG easily. It is also very cost-effective to produce, making it one of the cheaper fuels.
In Bio-CNG production, biogas is cleaned of hydrogen & carbon-dioxide to produce 95% methane gas. This pure gas is compressed and bottled for transportation and usage.
India has had several biogas based power generation projects since many years, and most biogas generating industries use this exclusively for power generation. Bio-CNG has been found to be 5-times more profitable than natural gas.
Bio-CNG has been touted as the most preferred alternative to natural gas in the years to come.

SERVICES OFFERED BY SYNOD FOR CBG PLANT SETUP
Synod Bioscience provides Operational Maintenance, Installation of Biogas Plants and Consultation Services for Bio-CNG plants. We undertake complete design and set-up as well as provide consultancy and help for existing plants and their maintenance.
ANALYSIS AND SELECTION OF BIOGAS SYSTEM
It is important to install a biogas system or anaerobic digester depending on requirements and capacity of the waste produced. Synod Bioscience helps in analysing and customizing biogas systems that work optimally, are safe and can last for many years.
DETAILED PROJECT REPORT
Detailed Project Reports (DPR’s) are drawn up by highly qualified and experienced consultants as to the civil construction on the site, parts wanted, equipment installed and other requirements based on client feedback and other inputs. The report is reliable, up to date and comprehensive.
- The DPR contains,
- Status of technology that will be used for project implementation
- Assess the economics and technological feasibility.
- Confirmation of preliminary and pre-operative expenses including finance costs during implementation based on the project design, financing pattern, execution & engineering services, other expenses, insurance expenses etc.
- Identify requirements for preventive and routine maintenance.
- Identify total cash generated post completion of the project for a period of 5-7 years
- Evaluate proposed project’s socio-economic benefit
- Prepare and submit final DPR
ALL CLEARANCES INCLUDING PESO LICENSE
Synod Bioscience takes care of all necessary documentation for clearances/approvals that are necessary throughout the course of the project including other applications, write-ups and clarifications required by various authorities, at different stages of development. We also help in obtaining PESO and other statuary licenses including state and central pollution board clearance approvals for the project. We also give clear instruction and continuous support to the client regarding subsidies from MNRE , GOI that they are eligible for.
FINANCIAL CLOSURE
Once DPR is drawn up and discussed, next is to identify total operational costs including expenditure on water and consumables, manpower, maintenance during the entire period. The proposed project economic viability is also evaluated with financial projections based on cash flow, profitability, balance sheet, ROI and sensitivity analysis.
COMPLETE CIVIL AND PROCESS PLANT DESIGN
The plant design process involves compiling offers for major equipment supplies from competent suppliers based on the agreed specifications. This includes confirmation of system specifications for civil, electrical and mechanical parts along with auxiliaries, and civil works, confirmation of water, utility, consumables, maintenance requirements and other input costs of the plant based on the specifications outlined. The amount of manpower required (qualitative & quantitative) for building of the complete plant, organisation chart preparation and annual cost estimates are decided. Finally project implementation chart is prepared based on major equipment delivery schedules.
COMPLETE CIVIL CONSTRUCTION AND PLANT AND MACHINERY SUPPLY AND ERECTION
Synod’s Biogas digester is specially designed for wet waste containing a high percentage of suspended solids. This is a simple unit, with basic technology, high returns and 100% profit. It is MNES and GOI approved and backed by banking agencies, eligible for subsidies. Synod Bioscience undertakes the engineering work as well as turnkey services for technical collaboration.
Biogas generation is a biological process, characterized by low nutrient requirement, and high degree of waste stabilization process where biogas is one of the by-product, the other being enriched organic manure in the form of digested slurry.
Biogas Enrichment Process is a A variety of processes are available for enrichment i.e. removing CO2, H2S and water vapour. Commonly CO2 removal processes also remove H2S. One of the easiest and cheapest methods involves is the use of pressurized water as an absorbent liquid. In this method, the biogas is pressurized and fed to the bottom of a scrubber column where water is sprayed from the top. In counter-currently operated absorption process, the carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide present in the biogas is absorbed in down going water and methane goes up and collected in vessel. However, water requirement in this process is high but it is the simplest method of removing impurities from biogas.
Technical Parts and machinery such as Non-lubricated type Gas Compressor, Zeolite Molecular Sieves (manufactured by M/s CECA France), are all sourced by us from different parts of India and abroad for composter, digestors and biogas plant installation.
SERVICES OFFERED BY SYNOD FOR CBG PLANT SETUP
Bio-CNG is 95% methane, a purified form of biogas, very similar to natural gas in its composition and energy potential. It is a great alternative to natural gas of fossil origin, uses residual waste matter and does not produce CO2 as a by-product.

ADVANTAGES OF USING BIOGAS IN INDUSTRY
- Renewable Energy Source since it is produced from materials such as sewage and waste products
- Non-Polluting and Non-Hazardous to human health. Does not use oxygen for combustion
- Manages Waste and its Disposal, which is the cause for decreased soil fertility and water pollution
- Manifold Applications with better technological advancements. Biogas is used in producing electricity and also for heating purposes. CNG can be used as vehicle fuel.
- Minimal Capital Investment, since it can be set up on a smaller scale. Increases self-sufficiency of farms and utilizes waste material produced by livestock.
- Creates Work Opportunities for rural and semi-rural areas. Decentralisation makes access to biogas easy, especially with frequent power outages
- Minimizes Greenhouse Effects by utilizing waste in landfills. Biodegradable waste can be utilized by simple technology.
